Hello there and nice to meet you! My name is Erin Mazich.
For nearly 3 years, I've had the privilege of working within the Resource Management Office in Esri's Professional Services division. In my day-to-day, I'm tasked with getting the right people in the right place at the right time. I feel so lucky to work with the best in class GIS Professionals as they deliver mission-critical mapping software across the globe.
My journey to Esri was an exciting one. Several years ago, I lived across the street from Esri’s lush and beautiful headquarters and had always dreamed of working there. Ironically, and many years later, I began my new role at Esri just two days after graduating with my Master of Science in Organizational Psychology Program at Azusa Pacific University in 2021. This program equipped me with valuable insights into the dynamics of organizations and the psychology of the workplace. In fact, Azusa Pacific University is where I was first introduced to Lego Serious Play and it is also where I received my facilitator’s certification in 2022.
Before delving into the realm of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, I embarked on a diverse career path that provided me with a well-rounded skill set. I've worn many hats, from being a career services specialist and behavior therapist to navigating the world of real estate as a commercial and residential leasing agent. Throughout my career journey, I've also assumed responsibilities as a contract recruiter, assistant manager, and retail sales associate, gaining a comprehensive understanding of service-oriented organizations and their unique challenges. This is what drew me to the field of Organizational Psychology - I’ve experienced many workplace cultures and I always wanted to understand what makes people happy at their jobs.
Through these diverse experiences, I've developed a deep appreciation for the intricacies of human behavior, the importance of effective leadership, and the power of supporting others in their professional trajectory in alignment with organizational goals.
There is such a thing as a fun, healthy, psychologically safe, inclusive, and effective workplace and I'm committed to cultivating these environments through Lego Serious Play. I bring my unique blend of skills and insights to every project I undertake, but more importantly I lead you through the answers and solutions you already possess. The LEGO bricks are simply the catalyst for unlocking the creative ideas that have been swirling in your mind, which I plan to help you build into lasting strategies.
I currently reside in the beautiful SoCal mountains in the "tiny-home" of my dreams. In my free time, you can often find me exploring new hiking trails, experimenting with new art or DIY projects, attending concerts, or spending time with my pets and family. I believe that every experience, whether professional or personal, adds a valuable layer to our understanding of the world, and I'm excited to see others find more meaning through Lego Serious Play!
Erin was trained by Kristen Klassen from The Association of Master Trainers in 2021.
